Our artisans are happy, content workers. We ensure that the artisans who make their livelihood from lovingly hand-crafting wooden furniture, or hand-embroidering our bedding, are paid fairly and work in good conditions with ample light, cooling, breaks and beverages. Additionally, Tribal Monsoon offers many of their artisans free accommodation and additional training, assuring they have a bright future ahead.

The concept of Fairtrade goes far beyond a simple economic transaction. At the heart of Fairtrade are long term relationships between producers and buyers, enabling producers to strengthen their businesses and diversify their sources of income. Unlike aid, which is dependent on donors, Fairtrade offers a more sustainable solution for artisans, workers, and their families to improve their livelihoods.

We pride ourselves in keeping the arts and crafts of South Asian artisans alive and to, with your help, support thousands of artisans; many of which live in remote areas below the poverty line. Our goal is to create sustainable livelihoods for these underprivileged artisans - particularly rural and women artisans - and thereby, improve their economic and living conditions.

We visit our artisans frequently to ensure that they follow fair trade practices. Where we have to source from other manufacturers, we visit them personally and meeting with their artisans to ensure that they share, and implement, our fair trade philosophy before we work with them. We only source from those who love what they do, and take pride in their skills. We, in turn, we take pride in honouring their crafts, promoting their skills, marketing their products, providing them with secure employment and paying fair wages.
